Oral and maxillofacial surgery is a dental specialty. It requires completing many additional years of a residency program involving hospital-based surgical and anesthesia training, after graduation from dental school. Dr. Barringer and Dr. Crestetto, as oral and maxillofacial surgeons, manage a wide variety of problems relating to the mouth, teeth, and facial regions.
Our office offers management and treatment for a wide variety of circumstances:
- Surgical removal of wisdom teeth
- Difficult or complicated dental extractions
- Jaw preparation for partial dentures or full dentures
- Orthodontic exposure surgery
- Dental Implant bone grafting
- Dental Implant placement
- Evaluation and management of pathology
Our surgical staff are oral and maxillofacial surgical assistants with many years of experience, who assist in all of our cases. The surgical staff is trained in assisting with Intravenous (IV) anesthesia in our state-of-the-art office setting. All staff are CPR certified. Patients are continuously monitored during and after surgery with IV anesthesia cases. We also include the addition of a CRNA (Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist) for IV anesthesia cases with more involved situations.
The administrative staff include reception, scheduling, insurance, and office management.
Our staff longevity averages 12 years, with some staff approaching 30 years.
