Dr. John Crestetto was born in California in the San Francisco Bay Area. He completed his undergraduate degree at the University of California at Berkeley, receiving a degree in Genetics. He then completed his dental education at the UCLA School of Dentistry, graduating with honors and membership in the OKU Dental Honor Society. A one year general dental practice residency was then completed at the UCLA Dental and Medical Center emphasizing dentistry in a hospital setting with challenging and complex patient issues. Dr. Crestetto completed medical school and residency in Dallas, Texas at The University of Texas, Southwestern Medical School and Parkland Memorial Hospital. He received his medical degree in 1994 with certificates in General Surgery (one year) in 1995 and in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in 1997. He is licensed as both a dentist and physician in the state of North Carolina. He is Board Certified and maintains continuing education in both dental and medical fields..

Dr. Crestetto maintains an active practice with his Partner Dr. Barringer in Rocky Mount, NC. Emphasis is placed on office based oral surgical procedures and full staff privileges are maintained at Nash General Hospital. Selected procedures are completed in the hospital setting with both day procedures and inpatient intervention. Input from multiple other medical and dental providers is available in the community

Dr. Crestetto is married and has a daughter.
